Jeff Chong Koon Meng
Jeff is an Executive Director of MMag Holdings Berhad and also the Chief Executive Officer of its’ wholly owned subsidiary, MMag Digital Sdn Bhd.
He has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and automotive industries. Before joining MMag, he was the Chief Sales and Distribution Officer (CSDO) with Ooredoo Myanmar in 2013/14. Prior to that, he held various senior positions at Maxis Berhad, cumulating with his appointment into the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) of the company. He started his career in Maxis Berhad as General Manager, SME Business and became the Senior General Manager spearheading the Distribution and Regional Management in 2007. In May 2010, he took on the role of Vice President, Regional Sales and Services. The following year in November, he was promoted as Vice President of Mobility Products and International Services. Prior to joining Maxis, he was with DiGi Telecommunications Sdn. Bhd. for over 10 years, in various portfolios and positions in the marketing, sales and product divisions. He started his career with Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd in the car and mobile phone divisions.
Jeff Chong completed the Executive Programme/Education in Stanford University, USA and Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia and a Bachelor of Statistical Economics degree from National University of Malaysia (“UKM”).

Chairman / Independent Non-Executive Director
YM Tengku Farith Tengku Ahmad Rithauddeen
YM Tengku Farith Rithauddin was appointed as Chairman of the company on 3 May 2016. He retired on 13 September 2018. He was re-appointed on 19 September 2018. Farith is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of SKALI.
In 2002, Farith was selected as one of the 100 Global Leaders for Tomorrow (GLT) by the World Economic Forum, Davos of Switzerland. In 2004, he was the first recipient of the Young Entrepreneur award by the Malay Chamber of Commerce, Malaysia and in 2006 was awarded the prestigious Eisenhower Fellowship for 2007 by the Eisenhower Foundation, USA. In 2008 he was awarded Most Outstanding Entrepreneur for 2008 by the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurs Award (APEA) Organization. In March 2012, YM Tengku Farith was awarded the BMW Stifung Herbert Quandt – Young Leaders. His latest recognition was a nomination by Top 10 of Malaysia Magazine for Top 10 Inspiring Technopreneurs in Malaysia.
His career began with Commerce International Merchant Bankers (CIMB) in the corporate finance division. He was a key team member in the Corporate Finance and Capital Market divisions. He has in-depth knowledge about corporate restructuring, corporate financing and financial re-engineering.
Throughout his career at CIMB, Farith established relationships with various investment bankers, analysts, researchers, venture capitalists and private investors, and was involved in corporate advisory services for Penang Port, agencies under the Ministry of Rural Development and KPJ Healthcare Bhd.
He then moved on to Road Builder (M) Holdings Berhad and was responsible for its business development in property and infrastructure projects. At Road Builder, he was instrumental in securing numerous privatization projects relating to property and infrastructure.
Fong Wai Leong
Fong Wai Leong was appointed to the Board on 30 January 2009. He resigned from the Board on 13 September 2018. He was reappointed to the Board on 19 September 2018. He is responsible for the operation of the search and advertising division.
He has over 20 years experience in the corporate management, investment, technology and financial sector, working in various capacities in different countries, including Southeast Asia, China, South Africa and South America.
He was formerly the General Manager of Alliance Investment Bank (formerly known as Kuala Lumpur City Securities) heading its corporate finance division. He has also worked in CIMB’s corporate finance division and in KPMG as an auditor.
Independent Non-Executive Director
Wong Mun Wai
Wong Mun Wai is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants, a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (Malaysia and United Kingdom). Mr Wong was appointed to the Board on 28 May 2012. He resigned from the Board on 13 September 2018. He was reappointed to the Board on 19 September 2018. He is also a member of the Remunerating Committee and Chairman of the Nominating Committee and Audit Committee.
He is currently the head of Consultancy firm with affiliation with Nexia International and also sits on the board of Comintel Corporation Berhad as an Independent Director. He was formerly an Independent Director for a listed information technology group of companies, and sat as a chairman of their Audit Committee.
He has over 30 years experience in the commerce and accounting profession with affiliation to Horwath and Horwath International, Moore Rowland, as well as working experience in public listed companies in various sectors such as paper manufacturing and trading, health care, financial services and real estate. He has held various positions including senior finance manager cum company secretary, chief operating officer, and executive director.
He carried out various due diligent and management review assignments, merger and acquisition exercises involving various ndustries and businesses, such as financial institutions, household appliances, biotech, fitness centres, pub and restaurant, furniture,timber and paper related industries.
Independent Non-Executive Director
Yap Kian Ming
Mr. Yap Kian Ming was appointed to the Board on 14 June 2017. He retired from the Board on 13 September 2018. He was re-appointed on 19 September 2018. Mr. Yap served as Regional Sales Manager for Garryson (now under Kennametal), and was responsible for the Sales and Marketing for China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
Mr. Yap has vast experience in Technical Sales and Cross Cultural marketing in Asia and his primary focus was in the Oil and Gas, Aerospace and shipping industry. He started his career as a Strategic Management Executive with Kein Hing Industries Sdn. Bhd.
During his 5 years tenure, he had started and headed the Purchasing Department since then. Further, he had also put in place a stock system. Besides heading the Purchasing Department, he was also responsible for a integrated stamping, machining and surface grinding line and Sales and Marketing with clients that included Sanden, Sharp, Nippondenso, Matsushita, Clipsal and PDL switch Gear Manufacturers. In the meantime, he was also responsible for a Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse.
He joined Polychem Sdn. Bhd. as Regional Product Manager. He served a wide range of industries from automotive, mould and die, oil and gas and electrical, electronics manufacturers. He has been Independent Non-Executive Director at SKH Consortium Berhad since August 22, 2014. Mr. Yap has been an Independent Non Executive Director of Panpages Berhad since June 14, 2017.
Mr. Yap is a graduate of the University of Brock, Canada with a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Economics and Marketing.
Chief Financial Officer
Kenny Khow Chuan Wah
Kenny is currently the Chief Financial Officer of MMag Holdings Berhad since October 2012. He has more than 13 years of experience as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia, including a two year secondment from 2004 to 2006 at PricewaterohuseCoopers London.Kenny joined PricewatehouseCoopers in 1997 and has an extensive experience in the areas of corporate exercises covering IPO, demerger of a listed entity, management and integration of two major companies in Malaysia, privatisation of a major listed entity, rights issue, issuance of debt securities, as well as the sale and leaseback of key assets. His other work experience includes financial due diligence, advisory, and numerous cross-border securities offering. Mr. Khow also sits on the Board of Directors of Sterling Progress Berhad as Finance Director.
Kenny holds a degree in Accounting and Finance (Distinction) from the University of Technology, Sydney. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and CPA Australia.
